Explore the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica with reserved access and an expert guide in a small group.

About this tour

Step into the Vatican’s remarkable world of art and sacred history on a three-hour Rome Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St Peter’s Basilica small-group tour. With no more than 10 guests, you can hear your English-speaking guide clearly, ask questions, and take in the details at a more relaxed pace.

Use reserved access to enter the Vatican Museums, then explore galleries filled with celebrated works and stories of the people who shaped them. In the Sistine Chapel, look up to Michelangelo’s monumental ceiling and Last Judgment as your guide brings their artistry and symbolism into focus. Continue to St. Peter’s Basilica, where reserved access lets you discover one of Rome’s most extraordinary sacred spaces. Security checks still apply, so allow 20–30 minutes to pass through metal detectors.

This intimate format pairs the scale of the Vatican collections with a more personal guided experience. Book your Rome Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel & St Peter’s Basilica tour and see these landmark sites with fresh perspective.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.74 from 716 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.5.
