Ride through Rome as a passenger on a vintage Vespa, passing iconic landmarks and hidden corners with a local driver-guide.

About this tour

See Rome from the back of a vintage Vespa on a private, three-hour ride through the city. With a local driver-guide at the handlebars, you can take in the sights without worrying about navigating traffic or finding a place to park.

The route brings you past celebrated landmarks such as the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, along with piazzas and lesser-known corners that reveal another side of the city. Hop off for photos and enjoy a pause for an espresso, gelato, water, coffee, or a snack. Hotel pickup and drop-off make the outing easy to fit into your stay, while live commentary adds context as Rome unfolds around you.

This is a passenger experience, not a self-drive tour. Helmets are provided, and the private format keeps the ride personal. Choose this Rome Vespa Tour to cover more ground, catch memorable views, and experience the city at street level with a local guide.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.98 from 346 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.4. Top 2% in Rome means it ranks in the top 2% of tours in Rome by this score.
