About this tour

Leave Rome behind for a full-day visit to Tivoli, where grand gardens, ancient ruins, and a medieval town make a memorable escape. This 8-hour Rome Villa Tour visits Villa d’Este and Villa Adriana, with skip-the-line entrance tickets included for both sites.

At Villa d’Este, admire the celebrated garden setting, then explore the remains of Villa Adriana, the vast retreat built for Emperor Hadrian. You’ll also have time to wander Tivoli’s medieval old town and take a break for lunch, which is not included. Travel between Rome and Tivoli in an air-conditioned, fully insured vehicle with a professional English-speaking driver. The driver offers basic commentary from the vehicle but does not walk through the sites with you.

Choose the private option for a dedicated licensed local guide, with 2 hours at each villa; this option may be customized if requested when booking. How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
