About this tour

Explore the Vatican’s artistic treasures with a private guide dedicated to your party. This 180-minute Vatican City private tour takes you through the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, with live commentary in English to bring the works you see into context.

Rather than joining a shared group, you’ll explore with your own guide, who can explain the masterpieces and key details along the way. The provider says the private format is designed to help visitors avoid waiting in lines, though entry timing and any waits may depend on conditions at the Vatican. All fees and taxes are included; lunch is not.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
