Skip the line with a dedicated host, then explore 200 Vatican Museum galleries before admiring Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel frescoes.

About this tour

Step into the Vatican Museums with skip-the-line access and a dedicated host to guide you to the entrance. This hosted visit gives you a smooth start before you explore the collections at your own pace.

Wander through 200 galleries, taking in the Raphael Rooms and celebrated sculptures such as the Laocoön. The visit concludes in the Sistine Chapel, where Michelangelo’s frescoes bring scenes from the Book of Genesis to life. Your ticket includes access to both the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, with around 120 minutes for your visit.

Sistine Chapel access is subject to Vatican regulations and ceremonies, and the chapel may close at short notice for official events or religious proceedings. Even if that happens, your ticket remains valid for the Vatican Museums. Make the most of your time in Rome with a hosted entrance to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.18 from 11 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.5.
