About this tour
Explore the Vatican’s celebrated galleries with a professional guide on this Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel tour. Skip-the-line tickets help your group enter the museums, where you’ll visit some of the Vatican’s most important rooms and hear stories about their history and hidden details. Headphones make it easier to follow the guide along the way.
The tour continues to the Sistine Chapel, with entrance included. When St. Peter’s Basilica is open to visitors, the experience ends there, giving you access to another of the Vatican’s landmark sites. The tour is semi-private, and you’ll meet your guide at the office. St. Peter’s Basilica can close at the Vatican’s discretion; if that happens, the visit ends at the Sistine Chapel.
See the Vatican’s essential sights with context from a guide and convenient museum entry. Book your Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel tour for a guided visit through these remarkable spaces.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.88 from 8 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.6.
