About this tour
Step into the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with a ticket that lets you skip the ticket line and explore at your own pace. Wander through the museums’ collections, then visit the Sistine Chapel, taking as much time as you like until closing.
This self-guided visit gives you the freedom to shape your time inside the Vatican without a guide. Your ticket and reservation fees, taxes, and skip-the-line ticket service are included. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time; late arrivals will not receive entrance or a refund. Knees must be covered. Access to the Basilica and its skip-the-line service is not included, and closures caused by religious programs or authority decisions do not qualify for cancellation or a reduced price.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.14 from 14 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Rome
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.3.
