About this tour

Trade a fixed itinerary for the freedom of the open road with self-guided audio tours across Utah’s remarkable landscapes. Explore Zion, Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase-Escalante, and Goblin Valley at your own pace, with stories and directions that follow your drive.

The Shaka Guide app uses GPS to play narration automatically, pairing local history and landscape stories with travel tips and music. Follow offline maps and turn-by-turn directions without relying on continuous data. Stop when a view catches your eye, skip places that don’t suit your plans, and pause or resume whenever you like. The tours never expire and can be spread across multiple days; one tour covers everyone in your vehicle, with no per-person fee.

Choose from starting points in and around the parks, download your tour over strong Wi-Fi, then launch it in the app and follow the route. This Utah national parks self-guided audio tour puts the journey in your hands, from towering cliffs to colorful hoodoos and striking desert rock. Download the app and set out on your own terms.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
