San Francisco Alcatraz Night Ticket and North Beach Walking Tour 4 hr

Discover San Francisco Alcatraz Night Ticket and North Beach Walking Tour, a four-hour evening experience that pairs neighborhood history with the atmosphere of the island after dark. Begin in North Beach, San Francisco’s Little Italy, where a professional guide leads you through historic streets and shares stories of the area. Visit Saints Peter and Paul Church to admire its Italian marble altar and hear about its connection to Joe DiMaggio. Along the way, take in views of Lombard Street and the Golden Gate Bridge before heading toward Fisherman’s Wharf and the sea lions at Pier 39.

Then board the evening ferry for Alcatraz. A ranger greets you on arrival and leads an orientation walk up to the cellhouse. Explore the island at your own pace with an audio guide, and enjoy special ranger-led evening programs and access to areas closed during the day, including the hospital ward and solitary confinement. The North Beach walk covers about a mile at a moderate pace; Alcatraz includes some inclines, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Experience San Francisco Alcatraz Night Ticket and North Beach Walking Tour for a memorable blend of local stories, bay views, and island history.
