Sarasota Amish Trolley Tour: Bridges to Understanding

Discover a distinctive side of Sarasota on the Sarasota Amish Trolley Tour, where stories and local stops offer a thoughtful introduction to Amish and Mennonite life. Your guide shares the history, beliefs, values, and daily traditions of these close-knit communities, helping build a bridge of understanding along the way.

Visit Pinecraft, a year-round home to more than 500 Amish and Mennonite families and a seasonal gathering place for thousands returning from Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. The 105-minute outing also stops at Alma Sue’s Quilt Shop, The Carlisle Inn, and Der Dutchman Amish Kitchen Cooking Restaurant, where you can browse and sample a pie shooter. Bottled water and an air-conditioned vehicle are included.

The Sarasota Amish Trolley Tour includes short walks when you leave the vehicle, and guests must be at least 10 unless joining a family tour designed for children. In April, when many seasonal visitors have returned home, the route may vary and may include a local Amish furniture maker. Join the tour for a welcoming, informative look at the people and traditions that make Pinecraft unique.
