Explore Tonto National Forest on a guided Scottsdale UTV tour, with desert scenery, snacks, bottled water, and photos sent by text.
About this tour
Trade city streets for the rugged scenery of the Sonoran Desert on a Scottsdale off-road UTV tour through Tonto National Forest. With a professional guide leading the way, you’ll explore desert terrain in a late-model Can-Am UTV and take in the landscape of one of Arizona’s most scenic areas.
Your 120-minute ride includes a UTV for two people, bottled water, snacks, and protective gear: a helmet, goggles, head sock, neck gaiter, and gloves if needed. Guides share their knowledge of the desert and surrounding areas, while photos from your outing are sent to you by text. The operator keeps group sizes small, and tours may often be private.
Choose this Scottsdale off-road UTV tour for an active way to experience the desert with a guide and modern equipment. Book your ride and get ready to see Tonto National Forest from behind the wheel.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.99 from 417 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Scottsdale
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.5. Top 6% in Scottsdale means it ranks in the top 6% of tours in Scottsdale by this score.
