Drive your own UTV through Tonto National Forest scenery, with a guide, desert wildlife, photos, and onboard music along the way.

About this tour

Trade Scottsdale’s city streets for open desert trails on a guided UTV adventure in the Tonto National Forest area. Over 2 hours and 15 minutes, follow your guide through Arizona scenery, with canyons, the Verde River, towering cacti, and chances to spot local wildlife along the way.

You drive your own UTV while the guide leads from a separate vehicle, making this a hands-on outing for families and friends. Smaller groups keep the experience personal, and onboard speakers, whip lights, and rock lights add a distinctive touch. Photos and videos help preserve the ride, while bottled water, light snacks, safety gear, and kids seats are provided. Tours are offered in English and French, and rideshare services can reach the North Scottsdale meeting point.

Choose a Scottsdale Tonto National Forest UTV tour for a lively way to experience the desert beyond town. Check the driver and age requirements, then get ready to explore Arizona’s rugged landscape from behind the wheel.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 5.00 on Viator (GetYourGuide shows no usable rating). Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Scottsdale
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.5. Top 20% in Scottsdale means it ranks in the top 20% of tours in Scottsdale by this score.
