About this tour
Discover the stories of Arizona’s Verde Valley on a day trip from Sedona to Tuzigoot National Monument and Jerome. This six-hour outing pairs ancient history with the character of a former mining town now known for its artists and distinctive hillside homes.
At Tuzigoot, explore the multi-room Sinagua ruin perched above a bend in the Verde River. Then continue to Jerome, where you’ll have time to see relics of its mining past, visit sites in both the upper and lower town, and hear local folklore. Browse shops for artwork and crafts by local makers, and leave time for lunch on your own.
With bottled water and pickup and drop-off from most central Sedona hotels, the Sedona Jerome and Tuzigoot tour makes it easy to experience two very different chapters of the region’s history. Share your hotel details at least 72 hours ahead, then come ready to explore.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Sedona
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
