Hike a hidden, unmarked trail with a lifelong local guide, with private transportation, hiking poles, snacks, and lunch provided.

About this tour

Leave the familiar routes behind on the Bear Mountain Hike, a six-hour trek along a hidden, unmarked trail that few visitors get to see. A lifelong local guide leads the way, bringing a lifetime of wilderness safety experience to this off-the-beaten-path adventure.

Private transportation, hiking poles, bottled water, snacks, and lunch are provided. If you are not receiving transportation, meet your guide in front of Resurrect Art Coffee House. The hike calls for a high level of physical fitness and is not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries, pregnant travelers, or those with poor cardiovascular health. Service animals are allowed.

Discover a quieter side of the wilderness with a local who knows its challenges. Choose the Bear Mountain Hike for a guided outing beyond the well-traveled paths.

How this score is calculated

This tour has no TourTruth score yet: Viator doesn't show a usable rating for it. It gets a score as soon as a provider lists one.

How the score works
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10. Tours without a usable provider rating are not scored.
