Explore Tulsa’s underground corridors, admire historic lobbies, and hear oil boom stories on a guided 90-minute walking tour.
About this tour
Beneath Tulsa’s downtown streets, oil boom history unfolds in corridors few visitors get to see. This 90-minute Tulsa Underground Tunnel Walking Tour connects the stories of landmark skyscrapers with the passageways below them.
Follow your guide through public pedestrian corridors linking historic buildings, including Philtower and Philcade, and discover how Tulsa’s early skyscrapers were connected. Along the way, hear tales of the oil boom and the Roaring 20s, and admire the richly finished lobbies. The mostly indoor route culminates with a visit to an oil baron’s tunnel, offering a distinctive perspective on the city’s past. Tunnel access fees are included.
Meet in the lower lobby of the Hyatt Regency on 2nd Street, not at the nearby Hyatt Place. The tour involves standing for 1.5 hours and is not wheelchair accessible. Choose this Tulsa Underground Tunnel Walking Tour to explore the city’s history from below street level.

How this score is calculated
This tour scores 4.88 on Viator and 4.95 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.
How the score works and rating distribution in Tulsa
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.0.
