Cruise Lazaretto Creek on a private Tybee Island pontoon rental, with safety gear, boating instructions, and flexible 2–6-hour options.
About this tour
Take the helm and explore the quiet waterways around Tybee Island at your own pace. A Tybee Island pontoon boat rental gives your group the freedom to cruise Lazaretto Creek, pause for a swim, or simply enjoy the Lowcountry scenery from the water.
Choose a 2-, 4-, or 6-hour outing aboard a pontoon that accommodates up to 10 guests. Before departure, dock crew provide a vessel orientation and boating instructions, with safety equipment and life jackets supplied. Keep watch for dolphins, egrets, and herons as you travel through the local waterways, or settle in and enjoy an easygoing day with family and friends. The marina is behind Bubba Gumbo's at 4 Old US Hwy 80; arrive at least 45 minutes early for check-in, waivers, and the safety briefing, and plan for limited parking.
Fuel and taxes are paid after the rental and range from $12 to $40. Operators need a valid driver's license, and the listings give different minimum ages, 18 and 21, so confirm the requirement before booking. Fishing is not permitted, and the driver must avoid alcohol before and during operation. Book a Tybee Island pontoon boat rental and make the waterways your own for a few hours.

How this score is calculated
This tour scores 4.50 on Viator and 4.50 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.
How the score works and rating distribution in Tybee Island
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.2.
