Visit the Washington Monument, take in 360-degree National Mall views, and explore its history with a guidebook and advance-arranged entry.

About this tour

See Washington from above with entry to the Washington Monument, one of the capital’s most recognizable landmarks. This 60-minute visit pairs admission with a guidebook to help bring the monument’s history into focus.

Head to the monument and make your way to the observation deck for 360-degree views across the National Mall. The provider describes a guided ascent and a descent through the interior stone museum; a guidebook accompanies the visit. Tickets are arranged in advance, so you can avoid the early-morning ticket queue, though a short wait near the plaza and security screening remain part of entry. Official tickets are sent before your booked date and are required for admission.

This Washington Monument entry and guidebook package offers a convenient way to take in the city’s landmarks from a memorable vantage point. Book your visit and see the National Mall from above.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 3.80 from 20 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Washington DC
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.1.
