Share a full day on the water in a two-person inflatable kayak, and choose a Salida-area river section suited to your skill level.

About this tour

Take a friend along for a full day on the water with a two-person inflatable kayak rental in Salida. The area offers river sections suited to beginner and intermediate paddling teams, giving you the freedom to choose a stretch that matches your experience.

Your rental includes the kayak, two personal flotation devices, two helmets, and two adjustable paddles. This is a non-guided outing, so check river conditions and confirm that your skill level is appropriate for the section you plan to paddle. Maps are available to help you choose. Shuttles and transportation of equipment to and from the launch site are not included, so arrange your own logistics or ask about shuttle options for nearby access points. A parking pass for the Arkansas Headwaters Recreation Area is required in your vehicle. The rental operates in all weather, so dress for the conditions; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Set your own pace, share the paddling, and explore the Salida area together. Book your kayak and plan your route before heading out.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 2 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Buena Vista
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.2.
