Float 6 scenic miles of the Arkansas River near Cañon City, with provided river gear, a BBQ lunch, and a downloadable trip photo.

About this tour

Trade the usual sightseeing for a family-friendly float on the Arkansas River, where Colorado scenery, wildlife, and splashes make the journey. This Cañon City family float rafting tour begins at Raft Masters, where staff help you get ready and fit you with river gear before a bus ride to the water.

After a safety talk and paddle instructions, follow your guide downstream for about 6 miles. Look for geese and other wildlife between the rapids as your guide rows and shares stories along the way. Wetsuits, river boots, splash jackets, helmets, and life jackets are provided, so you can focus on the river and the views. Transportation to and from the river is included, along with a digital photo from your trip.

A BBQ lunch at Eddy Out Café adds a relaxed finish to the outing; afternoon groups eat before their tour. Back at the office, you can browse the gift shop and view your group’s river photos. How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. GetYourGuide rates it 4.75 from 20 reviews. We place that rating among all GetYourGuide ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Cañon City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.6.
