About this tour

Set out from Alaska in search of the Northern Lights on an adventurous Arctic Circle and aurora viewing tour. Rather than staying in one spot, the group travels by vehicle and stops when conditions seem right for photographs, giving you the chance to watch the sky and capture the aurora along the way.

The 750-minute experience includes an air-conditioned vehicle and aurora pictures. The journey also includes scheduled layovers, with the remaining hour dedicated to travel and those stops. Northern Lights sightings are not possible in May, June, and July because of sunlight and weather conditions. Travelers should be prepared for a moderate level of physical activity; this tour is not recommended for people with spinal injuries, pregnant travelers, or those with poor cardiovascular health.

A separate Aurora Viewing + Photograph option lasts four hours and does not include the Arctic Circle. It is available Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10:00 PM. Choose the full Alaska Arctic Circle and aurora viewing experience for a chance to follow the night sky and bring home aurora photos.
