Ride with a personal husky team on a 60-minute Fairbanks dog sled tour and hear local mushers share each dog’s story.

About this tour

Meet the huskies behind the ride and discover the close bond between each dog and its musher. On this 60-minute Fairbanks dog sled ride, you’ll travel with a personal dog team and learn about the dogs’ lives from an experienced guide.

The huskies are family pets who live at their individual mushers’ homes rather than at Chena Outdoor Collective. Before setting out, check in at the maroon yurt 15 minutes early to use the restrooms, sign waivers, and gear up. Then join your team for a winter ride and hear what makes each dog and the musher’s lifestyle unique.

Choose this Fairbanks dog sled ride for an up-close introduction to the people and dogs who make mushing possible. Book your place and meet the team on the trail.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 5.00 from 1 review. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Fairbanks
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.1.
