Ride Snake River rapids and enjoy calm canyon scenery on a guided Jackson Hole whitewater rafting adventure.

About this tour

Trade the bustle of Jackson Hole for a splashy ride through the Grand Canyon of the Snake River. This 210-minute Jackson Hole whitewater rafting adventure pairs lively Class I–III rapids with quieter stretches where you can catch your breath and admire the surrounding scenery.

An experienced river guide leads the way, and you can take a paddling or non-paddling position in the raft. Transportation to and from the river, paddling pants and a jacket, and a Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device are provided. Meet at Mad River, about 30 minutes before your scheduled departure; transportation from there takes you to the river and back.

Dress for changeable conditions: wear secure shoes that can get wet, and consider synthetic layers, which dry faster than cotton. Bring a swimsuit, dry clothes, and a towel. Splash gear is complimentary, while wetsuits, jackets, and booties are available to rent. Children must weigh at least 50 pounds, and the trip is not recommended for travelers with certain health concerns. Book your Jackson Hole whitewater rafting adventure for a refreshing dose of Snake River scenery and rapids.

How the score works and rating distribution in Jackson Hole
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 8.6. Top 20% in Jackson Hole means it ranks in the top 20% of tours in Jackson Hole by this score.
