About this tour
See Maui wake to daybreak on a guided Haleakala Sunrise Vehicle Tour. From the summit, watch the first light spread across the island, then explore the national park and Upcountry with a certified interpretive guide. This is a vehicle tour, not a bike ride.
Along the way, your guide shares stories of Maui’s culture and history, as well as the geology and ecology that shape Haleakala’s striking landscape. After sunrise, continue to the historic towns of Makawao and Paia, with breakfast at a Paia cafe included. The air-conditioned vehicle and included park entrance make it easy to focus on the scenery and stories. Bring your own water and snacks, and check your Viator message for your exact pickup time at Kahului Park & Ride.

How this score is calculated
This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.60 from 179 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.
How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
- Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
- Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
- Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
- The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 5.7.
