Enjoy sunset, island flavors, live Hawaiian music, and Polynesian dance at the Maui Nui Luau on Kaanapali’s beachfront.

About this tour

Watch the sun sink over the Pacific as live Hawaiian music sets the mood at Maui Nui Luau at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa in Kaanapali. This 3-hour beachfront evening brings Polynesian traditions to life through on-stage demonstrations and dances from across the islands, including a spectacular Samoan fire-knife performance.

Settle in for a Hawaiian-inspired self-service buffet featuring kalua pig cooked in an imu on the luau grounds, alongside alcoholic beverages for guests 21 and older. A fresh flower lei, or a substitute based on availability, welcomes you to the celebration. The program is presented by Tihati Productions, with festive holiday menus offered on special occasions. The outdoor setting makes sunset part of the experience, while start and end times vary with the season, weather, and crowd size.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.42 from 1,779 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 4.1.
