Explore Haleakala, enjoy lunch and a distillery visit, then admire the Iao Needle on a full-day Maui sightseeing tour.

About this tour

Spend a full day discovering Maui’s volcanic heights, local flavors, and lush valley scenery on a Maui sightseeing tour with lunch. A professional driver-guide narrates the journey to Haleakala National Park, where you’ll explore the dramatic landscape of Haleakala Crater, known as the House of the Sun. Conditions at the summit can shift quickly, so clear views are never guaranteed, but the changing clouds and rugged terrain make the high country memorable in any weather.

Pause for a curated lunch at Hali’imaile General Store, then visit Hali’imaile Distillery. Guests under 21 wait outside during the 15–20-minute tasting, and a valid photo ID is required. The day also brings you to the towering Iao Needle, with time to stroll through verdant Iao Valley. Hotel pickup and drop-off are available at specific Maui hotels, and an air-conditioned vehicle keeps the long drive comfortable.

With Haleakala National Park admission and narration included, this Maui sightseeing tour with lunch connects several distinct sides of the island in one outing. Reserve your day to experience Maui’s landscapes, history, and tastes.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.31 on Viator and 4.90 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 4.9.
