Paddle Rookery Bay’s mangrove tunnels with a naturalist guide, look for wildlife, and receive photos from your two-hour kayak tour.

About this tour

Paddle into the quiet waterways of Rookery Bay, where mangrove roots frame a subtropical estuary alive with birds and small wildlife. This two-hour Rookery Bay Mangrove Kayak Tour pairs an easygoing outing with insights from a biologist or Florida naturalist guide.

After paddling instructions and a safety briefing, follow your guide through the mangrove tunnels and peaceful waters of the Rookery Bay and Ten Thousand Islands ecosystem. Along the way, hear about the area's natural history and local ecosystem, and keep watch for the creatures that make this protected landscape their home. The tour welcomes all skill levels, from beginners to experienced kayakers, and photos taken by your guide are provided afterward.

Bring water and snacks, since there is no concession at the park; a small cooler can fit on the kayaks. Choose this Rookery Bay Mangrove Kayak Tour for a close-up look at one of North America's remaining undisturbed mangrove estuaries.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.95 on Viator and 4.93 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Naples
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.1. Top 8% in Naples means it ranks in the top 8% of tours in Naples by this score.
