Paddle Naples’ mangrove tunnels with local biologist guides, spot wildlife, and download complimentary photos from your Rookery Bay adventure.

About this tour

Paddle into the quiet waterways of Rookery Bay Reserve, where mangrove tunnels open onto lively mudflats and oyster reefs. On this Naples Mangrove Tunnels Kayak Tour, local biologist guides bring the Southwest Florida landscape to life as you search for dolphins, manatees, birds, sea stars, and large snails.

The 150-minute outing begins at Isle of Capri Paddlecraft Park. Set out in a single kayak with a high-back seat, cup holder, and storage, then follow your guides through calm backwaters and beneath the tangled mangrove canopy. Along the way, learn about the reserve’s wildlife and coastal habitats. Complimentary photos of your adventure are available to download afterward, and admission to the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center is included.

This Naples Mangrove Tunnels Kayak Tour welcomes first-time paddlers as well as experienced kayakers, but participants should be prepared to paddle for 2–3 hours. Arrive 30 minutes before launch, bring drinking water, and plan for a $10 parking pass unless you have a Collier County Beach Parking Sticker. Book your paddle and discover the wild side of the 10,000 Islands.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.97 from 842 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Naples
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.4. Top 4% in Naples means it ranks in the top 4% of tours in Naples by this score.
