Paddle salt marshes, mangrove tunnels, and creeks on a guided Naples kayak tour with chances to spot manatees and other wildlife.

About this tour

Paddle into a quieter side of the Everglades on a Naples manatee and mangrove tunnel kayak tour, where salt marshes give way to shaded waterways and wildlife-rich ponds. This 180-minute outing launches from a permit-only site in the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge and follows a route shaped by changing tides.

Begin across the salt marsh, a feeding ground for wading birds and river otters. As the landscape shifts, thread through mangrove tunnels, creeks, and ponds before reaching the manatee-safe zone of the Faka-Union Canal. An ACA-certified guide leads the way, bringing local expertise to a route that requires careful planning. Keep watch for manatees and other wildlife along the journey.

Tandem kayaks are provided, and the small-group experience offers an immersive way to explore this distinctive coastal habitat. Conditions can affect the effort required, so be prepared for a moderate physical outing. Book your Naples manatee and mangrove tunnel kayak tour and discover the Everglades from the water.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.95 from 989 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Naples
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 9.2. Top 6% in Naples means it ranks in the top 6% of tours in Naples by this score.
