Explore the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island museums, with ferry tickets and skyline views on this 240-minute New York tour.

About this tour

See two defining landmarks of New York on a visit to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. This 240-minute experience pairs ferry rides with time to explore the Statue of Liberty Museum and the National Museum of Immigration, set against memorable views of the city skyline.

Your ferry tickets take you to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Explore the museums and learn about the history and significance of these landmarks. Depending on the option selected, a professional guide leads a bilingual tour in English and Spanish, while an audio guide is available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The live guide may not be allowed inside some sites, but will explain what you can expect to see. The basic option includes an interactive audio guide rather than live commentary.

Plan for security screening, which can take up to two hours, and arrive on time for a live guided tour. Pedestal and crown access, food, and hotel transfers are not included. Book your New York Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island tour to explore these historic sites and take in the waterfront views.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.21 on Viator and 4.25 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 3.6.
