Sail past New York Harbor landmarks with live jazz as the sun sets and Manhattan’s skyline begins to glow.

About this tour

As the sun slips behind the Statue of Liberty, New York Harbor turns gold and the city begins to sparkle. This 105-minute New York City sunset jazz sail aboard the 158-foot Clipper City pairs harbor views with live music for a relaxed evening on the water.

Sail past Ellis Island and Governors Island, glide beneath the city’s iconic bridges, and watch the Manhattan skyline shift from sunset colors to night lights. A rotating lineup of live jazz sets the mood without overpowering the harbor’s rhythm. The onboard bar offers cocktails, beer, wine, and light snacks for purchase, while a restroom is available on board.

Depart from Pier 17 at The Seaport, below the Brooklyn Bridge on Manhattan’s East Side. The New York City sunset jazz sail runs in light to moderate rain; if severe weather cancels the trip, it will be rescheduled at no charge. Settle in, take in the changing skyline, and enjoy a distinctly New York evening afloat.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.41 on Viator and 3.16 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in New York City
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 4.6.
