Climb 674 steps with a host, take in sweeping Paris views, and continue to the summit by lift if your selected option includes access.

About this tour

Trade the elevator queue for an invigorating climb up the Eiffel Tower’s famous stairs. On this 120-minute Paris Eiffel Tower stair tour, a host helps you enter and shares the information you need before you set off on foot, following in the footsteps of Gustave Eiffel. The ascent to the second floor covers 674 steps, with sweeping city views opening up along the way.

Once you reach the second floor, take time to admire Paris from above. If your selected option includes summit access, continue to the top by lift for an even broader panorama. After the tour, you’re free to explore the tower at your own pace and stay as long as you wish. Allow extra time for security checks during busy periods, and meet your host at the designated location rather than heading straight to the tower. Choose this Paris Eiffel Tower stair tour for a more active way to experience one of the city’s defining landmarks.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.79 from 6,215 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.0.
