Climb the Eiffel Tower with a live guide, explore its terraces, and admire Paris from the second floor or summit.

About this tour

Climb above the Paris streets on a guided Eiffel Tower stair tour, where the monument’s ironwork and sweeping city views reward every step. Along the way, hear stories of the tower’s construction for the 1889 World’s Fair and its rise from a controversial landmark to one of the world’s most visited sights.

Follow your guide up the staircases to the first floor, with time to explore its exhibitions, terraces, and glass floor. Continue to the second floor for views across the Seine, Les Invalides, the Louvre area, and Paris’s elegant boulevards. Choose the summit option to take an elevator from the second floor to the top. The tour lasts 120 minutes and includes reserved access tickets and a live English-speaking guide.

Meet your guide, identified by a white flag, in front of the restaurant near the Eiffel Tower. Take on the climb and experience Paris from a fresh perspective on this Eiffel Tower stair tour.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 1.00 from 4 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Paris
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.8.
