Begin your journey with a 2.5-hour guided hike to the Exit Glacier overlook, where you'll enjoy stunning views and gain insights into the glacier's history and local geology. Your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating interpretive information, making the hike both educational and enjoyable. After the hike, head to the Clear Creek panning area on the Adventure Sixty North property. Here, you'll participate in a 1.5-hour gold panning experience under a rustic, tarp-covered log structure. Learn the traditional Alaskan method of gold panning and try your luck at finding gold flakes and semi-precious stones like garnets, fluorite, quartz, and red jasper. All necessary equipment, including pans and glass vials for your finds, will be provided.
