Spot dolphins, learn about Clearwater’s marine life, and enjoy time on Compass Island during this 90-minute coastal outing.

About this tour

Set out from Clearwater Beach Marina for a 90-minute dolphin-watching trip led by a crew with deep knowledge of marine wildlife. Since 1999, Encounters With Dolphins has welcomed visitors aboard to spot dolphins, learn about Clearwater, and enjoy a relaxed day on the water.

Along the way, watch for dolphins in their coastal habitat and hear insights from crew members who include marine biologists, conservationists, and wildlife experts. The trip also visits Compass Island, where you can enjoy the sand and sun and may have the chance to take a dip. Snacks are not included, so plan accordingly.

Your Clearwater dolphin tour combines wildlife viewing with time to unwind in the Florida sunshine. Check in at the marina near slip 52, at the lime green and teal booth with a metal roof, then head out for a memorable coastal outing. Book your Clearwater dolphin tour and keep an eye on the water for a fin breaking the surface.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.83 on Viator and 4.27 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Clearwater
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 7.3. Top 49% in Clearwater means it ranks in the top 49% of tours in Clearwater by this score.
