Watch sunrise from Haleakala’s summit, explore the national park, and enjoy breakfast at Maui Tropical Plantation on this guided tour.

About this tour

Watch dawn break above the clouds on a Maui Haleakala Sunrise Tour, where the first light spills across the island from the summit of Haleakala. Local guides help you find a good viewing spot and share stories about Maui’s history as the sky brightens.

After sunrise, continue with a short tour of the rest of Haleakala National Park and nearby ranch lands. Then sit down for breakfast at Maui Tropical Plantation, choosing from coconut yogurt and fresh fruit, a plantation breakfast with eggs, bacon, Portuguese sausage and potato hash, or macadamia nut pancakes with bacon and Portuguese sausage. Bottled water is also provided, and pickup and drop-off are available from South and West Maui hotels.

The Maui Haleakala Sunrise Tour combines a dramatic early-morning view with local insight and a relaxed meal. Book your place and experience the island at first light.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.79 on Viator and 4.58 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.9.
