Fly over East and West Maui on a narrated 60-minute helicopter tour, with views of Haleakala, rainforest, waterfalls, and coastline.

About this tour

See Maui’s rainforests, waterfalls, and rugged coastline from the air on a 60-minute helicopter flight. This Maui Helicopter Tour takes you over both East and West Maui, with views of the northeastern rim of Haleakala’s dormant volcanic crater.

From the shared cabin, look down on the East Maui rainforest and coastline before crossing toward the West Maui rainforest. A professional pilot-guide provides narration, with music during the flight. The cabin holds up to six passengers and the pilot, making this a shared experience. Routes and sights can change with the weather, so each flight follows conditions on the day.

Meet at Air Maui Helicopters at Kahului Heliport, and contact the operator at least 72 hours ahead to confirm your check-in and departure time. Book your Maui Helicopter Tour for a fresh perspective on the island’s varied landscapes.

How this score is calculated

This score is based on one provider. Viator rates it 4.67 from 204 reviews. We place that rating among all Viator ratings and weight it by its review count. If the tour is found on another provider later, both ratings are combined.

How the score works and rating distribution in Maui
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.1.
