Badlands Scientific Expedition 7 hr

Trade the usual overlooks for a hands-on scientific expedition into the Badlands. Designed for curious travelers, this seven-hour experience invites you to explore the landscape through the eyes of a field biologist, with a guide focused on ecology and geology.

Use field signs and biological patterns to track wildlife, then examine exposed strata that reveal millions of years of geological history. The route reaches less-visited areas such as Sage Creek Wilderness, where bison, burrowing owls, and prairie dogs help shape the ecosystem. Instead of simply taking in the scenery, you’ll actively investigate the land and its wildlife. Private, air-conditioned transportation and bottled water are provided, with all fees and taxes included.

Whether you’re traveling with budding scientists or simply want a deeper connection to the landscape, this Badlands scientific expedition offers a fresh perspective. Join the journey and see what you can discover beyond the overlooks.
