Ride from Fisherman's Wharf across the Golden Gate Bridge, then coast into Sausalito on a guided San Francisco bike tour.

About this tour

Set out from Fisherman's Wharf and trade city streets for ocean air, coastal wildlife, and a ride across one of the world's most recognizable bridges. On this San Francisco Golden Gate to Sausalito Bike Tour, a local guide leads the way and shares insights into the city's landmarks.

Follow the waterfront past sea lions, dolphins, and historic military forts before pedaling across the Golden Gate Bridge. Pause to admire the bay and San Francisco skyline, then coast downhill into sunny Sausalito, where the guided ride concludes. Your day-long bike rental lets you explore the town or ride back to San Francisco at your own pace. You can also return by ferry, though the ticket is not included; a Sausalito bike drop may be available in high season for an extra fee.

Your rental includes a helmet, lock, and map. Meet at Fisherman's Wharf at least 45 minutes before departure, and bring a credit card and ID for the security deposit. Book your San Francisco Golden Gate to Sausalito Bike Tour for a memorable ride from waterfront neighborhoods to bayfront views.

How this score is calculated

This tour scores 4.53 on Viator and 4.70 on GetYourGuide. Ratings on these sites cluster near the top of the 5-star scale, so we compare each one with all other ratings on the same site before combining them.

How the score works and rating distribution in San Francisco
  • Each provider rating is turned into a percentile: the share of that provider's ratings it beats, weighted by review counts.
  • Listings on different providers are combined in proportion to their review counts.
  • Tours with few reviews are pulled toward the average until more reviews come in, so a handful of perfect reviews can't top the list.
  • The result is shown from 0 to 10: this tour scores 6.5.
